BRANDON UNIVERSITY

• After being closed on Monday for Louis Riel Day, Brandon University reopens today, although students are off for the rest of the week for winter break. Classes will resume on Feb. 23.

• In connection with ConnectED, a conference connecting students with industry, the alumni associations of BU and Assiniboine College will host the Beyond ConnectED mixer on Thursday from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Clarion Hotel. The come-and-go event will provide an opportunity for students, alumni and industry partners to continue their conversations and build their professional networks.

• The 16th Brandon University Clarinet Festival will take place on Feb. 28 and March 1, with guest artists joined by BU faculty, alumni and students for a weekend of performances and workshops. More information is available at Events.BrandonU.ca.

ASSINIBOINE COLLEGE

• The ACSA is hosting a number of Black History Month events this month. Keep an eye on assiniboinestudents.ca for all the student led events at all our campus locations.

Lift Up: Acts of Kindness runs through Sunday. Acts of kindness and social connection build resilience and foster a sense of belonging and community. • Step inside our Victoria Avenue East campus to explore modern learning spaces and connect with passionate staff at Assiniboine All Access. • Our Cougars hockey team plays host to North Dakota State University in a weekend double-header at the Brandon Community Sportsplex. Puck drop at 7:15 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday. All your Cougars Athletics information can be found at assiniboine.net/events.

Puck Drop & Pastries takes place at Sunday’s game against NDSU. Join us for complimentary treats, refreshments, and prizes as we cheer on the Assiniboine College Cougars Women’s hockey team.
