• Brandon University drama production “Salt-Water Moon” will be staged from Thursday to Saturday at the Evans Theatre. An unexpected visit by a former flame puts Mary Snow’s future in peril in this Canadian classic, set in a Newfoundland fishing village in 1926. Showtimes are at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, along with a Saturday matinée at 2 p.m. Visit Events.BrandonU.ca to find information on advance tickets. Tickets will also be available at the door (cash only). The cost is $20 for general admission, $10 for seniors and $5 for students.

• Brandon University students will present their research at the Senior Colloquium on April 8. Starting at 9 a.m., and running until 5 p.m., 23 students will present on a wide range of topics in the Louis Riel Room. Visit BrandonU.ca/Colloquium for details on the sessions.

• Join Kelly Paddock for Alumni Knit Night, a delightful evening of yarn, laughter and creativity, at Chez Angela on April 8. Bring your latest project or start something new while enjoying the cosy ambiance and delicious treats. All skill levels and all fibre arts are welcome. The event takes place from 6 to 8 p.m.

• As the end of the term approaches, many School of Music students will hold year-end recitals. A list of those is available at BrandonU.ca/Music.

• Former Humboldt Broncos coach Chris Beaudry, University of Winnipeg professor Jan DeFehr and Wildflower Alliance director Sera Davidow will be the keynote speakers for the Mental Health on the Prairies Conference, coming up April 24-26. The conference will include a series of lived experience and keynote speakers, along with presentations from researchers and mental health partners across Canada.
