The Assiniboine Community College Cougars hockey team improved to 10-0 in American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 2 women’s play after 3-1 and 11-0 triumphs on Saturday and Sunday over the North Dakota State Bison in Fargo.

Kasey Fouillard and Simone Turner both had three goals and an assist in Sunday’s lopsided affair. Emmalie Thompson had a goal and three assists, while Meagan Carnegie dished out three helpers.

Alisz Belanger, Aidan Roberts, Payton Malchuk and Savannah Doak rounded the scoring for the Cougars, who got a shutout performance from Geneva Penner.

Roberts led the way on Saturday with a pair of goals. Turner dished out two helpers, Carnegie found the back of the net and Megan Besitherick made seven saves.

Laura Boersma kept the Bison in the game by recording 41 saves.

In their final contests before the Christmas break, the Cougars will travel to Madison this weekend for a pair of games with the Wisconsin Badgers.
