No need for negativity
It is Saturday at 6 a.m., and I just started my day as I always do, reading The Brandon Sun. You see, I work in health care and it is the best time for me to read what is happening before I go to work. I read the article “Province Reveals $200M Health-Care Action Plan,” and while it is a long time coming, I applaud the premier and her team for finally doing what is right. However, the article shows a clear reason why more and more of my co-workers are getting fed up with our unions. Instead of supporting us with this announcement, both MGEU and MNU presidents must instead find a way to bring negativity into the good-news cycle. While my co-workers and I always say that the government must do better, we can now say to our own unions, you must be better. Thank you, premier, for thinking of us health-care workers. I encourage my co-workers to reach out and voice this thought as well.
What’s up with that?
Recently, a lady picking up a patient at the local hospital reports receiving a $60 fine in an unseeable handicapped parking spot. At the same time, it is reported that two persons guilty of trafficking massive amounts of illegal cigarettes are given house arrest, not even fined. Another example of considerable taxpayer policing costs not being recouped at all. Shame on our legal system. Is this fair?
Not a dog park
