Here are Brandon’s picks in this year’s Western Hockey League draft, and all the trades that impacted — or could have impacted — the 2026 draft for the Wheat Kings.
ROUND 1. (One), 15th.
— Own pick.
ROUND 2. (One), 42nd.
— On Jan. 10, 2023, the Wheat Kings traded prospect Colin Frank and a sixth-round pick in 2025 and their second-round pick in 2026 for forward Dawson Pasternak and a conditional fourth-round pick. Portland’s pick is 38th.
— Edmonton’s pick, 42nd — On Sept. 24, 2005, the Wheat Kings sent forward Rylan Roersma to Edmonton for a second-round pick in 2026 and a fifth-round pick in 2027.
— On Jan. 10, 2023, the Wheat Kings sent forward Jake Chiasson to the Saskatoon Blades for a first-round pick in 2023, a second-round pick in 2023 and a conditional second-round pick in 2026. The conditions were not met for the 2026 pick when Chiasson played pro as an overager.

— The Wheat Kings sent defenceman Charlie Elick and a third-round pick in 2026 to Tri City for forward Jordan Gavin and defenceman Merrek Arpin. Tri-City’s pick is 61st.
