Westman Wildcats forwards Sophia Anderson and Paige Kozak have both determined where they will be continuing their hockey careers next fall.
Kozak has committed to the Minot State Beavers for the 2023-24 campaign, while Anderson will be joining the Manitoba Bisons.
Anderson, who is from Glenboro, is the captain for the Wildcats this season and is second in team scoring with 13 points — seven goals and 13 assists – in 15 games.
She’s recorded 32 points in 44 regular season games over the last three years, helped the Wildcats win the Manitoba Female Under-18 Hockey League AAA title this past spring and captured a gold medal with Manitoba at the National Aboriginal Hockey Championship in May.
Kozak is also in her third season with the Wildcats. The Souris product has eight points — four goals and four assists — in 15 games this year.
She’s posted 26 points in 57 regular season contests and was also part of last year’s title-winning side.
Three players from the 2022-23 Wildcats roster have committed to post-secondary programs. Goaltender Grace Glover will be joining the Alberta Pandas next fall.
