Not impressed
There must be a few of us who would like to know who approved “One Tin Soldier” as a piece to be sung at the Keystone Centre Remembrance Day service. This song is the most inappropriate selection imaginable considering the solemnity of the occasion. A little research would reveal it was the intro piece to a B-grade movie from the ’70s that opened with the indiscriminate slaughter of wild horses. As a veteran, I am appalled.
More hard copies
Ever wonder why the Western Manitoba Regional Library system has so many new/bestseller titles in e-book format only? Sad, some patrons would like to get a recent title in book format. Especially in branch libraries. Let’s see some current books and magazines. Maybe that is the reason it isn’t as busy in some libraries — not where the building is located. Let those of us that exchange puzzles do our own thing. Get us some books, please.Act of kindness
Thank you to my neighbour who has been clearing a path to my car and the snow off my car since the snowy season began. It’s so encouraging to see this kindness when it seems like there’s so much negativity in our world today! It’s very much appreicated.
